Inspectiv was founded with a bold idea: make world-class application security accessible to every organization by tapping into the power of the global security researcher community. Our vision was shaped by decades of hands-on experience in telecom, startups, and enterprise security, where teams consistently struggled to keep pace with a rapidly evolving threat landscape. Our early experiences in responsible disclosure and enterprise security programs revealed a clear opportunity: traditional testing models created too much noise, lacked operational efficiency, and often put advanced security out of reach for mid-market organizations.

In 2018, we launched the company as CESPPA, a reversal of "AppSec," symbolizing a flipped approach to legacy security practices. Our platform was built to provide managed, high-signal vulnerability reporting from a curated researcher community. In 2021, we rebranded as Inspectiv to reflect our broader mission: bringing clarity, insight, and continuous protection to modern security teams.

Today, Inspectiv has evolved into a unified application security testing platform that simplifies how organizations discover, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities. By combining four critical testing solutions: Bug Bounty, Pentesting, Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Vulnerability Disclosure Programs (VDP). By bundling these into one cohesive experience, we reduce the complexity of managing multiple vendors and tools.
